I've known you for a few years now, I think about 6 or 7. I've walked by you so many times and often, weather permitting I will sit next to you and admire the view you watch over.
You are only young, and yet, you stand out, you stand tall in your space and seem proud as I look up hill at you and the skyline behind you.
Your colours always compliment the fields around you, at the moment your green leaves stand out against the wheat as it gets ready to harvest, you've seen different crops, the bright yellow of the oil seed and the waves of the oats growing around you. In the Autumn your leaves turn a beautiful orange and they stand out against a drab grey winter sky.
I don't know what it is about you, but you are my favourite, i like to sit next to you on a warm day, on the slight incline of the hill, with the sun in my face and just take a few minutes, to take in the view, the smell the sounds.
I wish you well, and I hope you live long and well as you resided over the Warwickshire countryside.
To me, a tree is SO emotive, I love them so much, not only do they offer us life, they stand tall over us all year through all the seasons. They have witnessed wars, romance, tears, laughter and history. I love to hug a tree... have you ever done it? You should, the energy you will feel is AMAZING.
I love to see their changes through the seasons, I love to hear them on a windy day, to take shelter in the rain, or take shade in the summer, to sit and lean against a tree and just stop and take in the view the noises and sounds is just magical.
What would you write to your favourite tree?
